Decmil wins more Pilbara work

16th Feb 2012

PERTH, Feb 16 – Fortescue Metals Group has moved to ease the accommodation problems affecting the T155 Rail Expansion Program at its Pilbara iron ore operations in Western Australia by awarding a A$28M rail camp construction contract to Decmil Australia.

Construction will start next month on 200 single-person accommodation rooms, wet mess, gym and recreational facilities, administration and central facilities south of Port Hedland.

Decmil says the target completion date is the June 2012 quarter.
