Alecto builds its African landholdings

JULY 17 – UK-based African explorer Alecto Minerals has tied up the Wayu Boda gold project in the mineral rich central-southern Adola greenstone belt in southern Ethiopia with the 100% acquisition of Rift Valley Resources.
Acquisition of the highly prospective 945.5sq.km project follows the March 2012 purchase of Nubian Gold Exploration and its 1953sq.km Aysid-Mektel gold project in the country’s northwest.
Alecto is continuing due diligence on the 711sq.km bauxite licence 223 in the SW coastal region of Guinea and also holds gold-base metal and uranium licences in the Mauritanide belt of Mauritania.
