AustBauxite aims for early scoping study

JULY 25 – Australian Bauxite aims to begin a scoping study in September after laboratory and exploration results from drilling and surface exploration indicated good quality, low silica, gibbsite-rich bauxite in northern Tasmania, Australia.
Having consolidated its tenement package into 11 exploration tenements covering 1897sq.km, the company says it has secured the best bauxite zones in the area in terms of community acceptance and logistical infrastructure as well as economic assessments.
CEO Ian Levy says investing in Tasmania is only done after careful consideration of the risk-rewards situation based on expert advice, and requires an understanding of Tasmania’s special circumstances. “We believe that with goodwill and common sense, ABx can develop a viable project in Tasmania.”
