Gold production increase for Alacer

JULY 25 – Alacer Gold Corporation has achieved a 6% increase in production in the June quarter over the March quarter 2012.
Gold production for the quarter totalled 106,226oz, of which 95,984oz was attributable to Alacer.
Production at Alacer’s Çöpler mine in Erzincan, Turkey, rose 15% as the Marbe and Main open pits were ramped up.
At Higginsville in Kalgoorlie, Australia, production increased 6% due to increased plant throughput and processing of ore sourced from three mines, instead of low grade stockpiles.
These increases were balanced by a 12% decrease in production at the South Kalgoorlie Operations, after rain limited haulage to the Jubilee plant.
Gold sales for the quarter reached 108,844oz, with 97,615oz attributable.
Progress at the Chalice underground mine development project is ahead of schedule, with initial development ore from the Atlas lode delivered to the Higginsville treatment plant on June 15, 2012.
