Tiger hits high grade copper
16th Aug 2012
AUG 16 – Tiger Resources has struck high grade copper in a drilling program designed to upgrade resources at its Kileba deposit.
Kileba, part of the Kipoi copper project in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, hosts an inferred resource of 9.5Mt at 1.4% copper for 133,000t copper.
Results from the final 40 holes of the latest drilling program include 63.5m at 3.03% copper from 44.5m, including 18.3m at 5.48% copper and 69m at 2.74% copper from 22m, including 24.2m at 5% copper.
The resource upgrade will support the definitive feasibility study underway at Kipoi for a stage 2 solvent extraction-electro winning facility.
